Considered the most successful ?Dark Deco? animated series of the 90s, Batman features the adventures of the Dark Knight who hails from Gotham City as he battles the forces of evil in the city with some help from Robin and Batgirl. The batman TV series is filled with stories of faith and courage and one cannot but be touched by the spirit and tone of the animations. In the batman TV series aired from 1992, the first episode start with a horrifying bat creature that terrorizes Gotham City and all evidence points to Batman. However, Batman has a mind of his own and starts to investigate and his quest leads him to the laboratory of Kirk Langstrom, a prominent zoologist. Batman discovers that the scientist has been experimenting with a formula that has turned the scientist into a ManBat creature. The plot thus begins with Batman on a quest to capture to Man-Bat in order to clear his name and set the police record straight while at the same time trying to save Langstrom from this experimental expedition.

And so the Batman TV series goes on with such episodes like ?The Last Laugh? where The Joker, a character throughout the series employs a mind altering laughing gas so that the inhabitants of Gotham City become total fools. The Batman has to stop this clown Prince in order to save his friend and butler, Alfred and the rest of the city. As the plot unfolds, the Batman TV series reveals characters that will play an important role in the entire story. Poison Ivy, a plant-crazed villainess who has a vendetta with the D.A. is introduced in the 5 episode entitled ?Pretty Poison? as the character Pamela Isley.

Another notable character is Mr. Freeze, who is introduced in the 14 episode. As the brilliant cryogenics expert, Dr. Victor Fries, he is trying to save his wife?s life when the corporation that is underwriting the project literally pulls the plug and the freezing chamber explodes, destroying his wife and transforming him into a creature that can only survive in sub-zero temperatures. A year later, he returns as Mr. Freeze, thirsting for revenge against the CEO of the corporation. Although, Batman?s sympathy is with Mr. Freeze, he has to do some saving first.

Other notable Batman TV series episodes include the 39 episode where Nygma, an enraged computer game wiz disguises himself as the Riddler in a revenge mission and the 64th episode where the Ventriloquist shows off his dummy works. The Batman TV series is indeed episode after episode of mind-boggling action.
