Lost TV Show Merchandise
I don’t watch too much television these days because I think most of the programs are basically garbage. It’s very difficult to sustain any kind of quality for more than one or two seasons, so I rarely end up watching a particular series longer than that. But one notable exception for me has been the Lost TV show, which I’ve been hooked on ever since it premiered in 2004.
I think one of the reasons the Lost TV show has been so popular and successful is that it began with a very strong premise, and evolved into something even better. The pilot episode featured the memorable crash of Oceanic Flight 815 that dumped the survivors on an unknown, uncharted island somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. The first season dealt mostly with introducing the characters, showing their struggle to survive and set up an orderly civilization, and exploring the island. This made for some pretty riveting television, especially after the castaways realized that they were not alone on their island.
But writers for the Lost TV show didn’t stop there. They apparently decided to take a few pages out of Jules Verne’s book The Mysterious Island and give the castaways’ island supernatural properties and powers. This opened up a whole bunch of new subplots that have kept the program feeling fresh and new to viewers even as the seasons progressed. Whereas other shows usually decline in quality and originality the longer they’re on the air, the Lost TV show managed to buck the trend.
If you’re a fan in search of Lost TV show merchandise, you’ve got plenty of items to choose from. The popularity of the series has led to the production of related apparel, DVDs, calendars, and other memorabilia that fans around the globe have been snapping up voraciously. For instance, there is a wide selection of Lost TV show T-shirts available, featuring such things as the Dharma Initiative logo, Hugo’s unlucky lottery numbers, and diagrams of the various Dharma hatches on the island. Of course, you can also get these same logos and photos on coffee mugs, beer steins, keychains, hats, and more.
Confused by all the time travel elements on the Lost TV show? Fortunately, there are a couple of great books out there that seek to explain all that’s happening in a more orderly fashion. Want to explore the island for yourself and maybe see your favorite stars filming the series? Then perhaps a trip to Oahu for a tour of some of the program’s most prominent locales would be to your liking.
